Philippe Nigro

Born in Nice, France, in 1975. Lives in Milan and works between France and Italy.
Since 1999 he has been an independent designer and collaborates with Studio De Lucchi in Milan.
Since 2005, he has been supported by VIA to participate in avant-garde and experimental furniture projects, thanks to which he designed the “Spiral” shelving unit, the “Storage-Unit” modular boxes and the “Intersections” sofas. The prototypes of the “Twin-Chairs” double chair and the “Universal base” basement table, also created thanks to VIA grants, are now part of the collections of the Centre Georges Pompidou.
In 2009, the “Intersection” sofas announced the start of a collaboration with Ligne Roset, which publishes and develops the range under the name “Confluences”, which won the German Red Dot Best of the Best 2009 award and the Young & Design competition.
In 2011 the collaboration with Serralunga began with the “Canisse” outdoor sofa.
