In the highly anticipated new volume of Assouline’s bestselling Ultimate Collection , The Impossible Collection of Cigars imagines the ultimate humidor brimming with the most remarkable cigars of the 20th and 21st centuries from the most prestigious makers. Like the popping of champagne cork, the flick of a lighter or match and the first puff of smoke are synonymous with celebration, relaxation and camaraderie. A luxurious pause from the world, an exceptional hand-rolled cigar has established itself over the centuries as a civilized passion and a refined hobby.

This deluxe, hand-bound, oversized edition, featuring authentic hand-cut vitolas and presented in a traditional cigar box, is a must-have for any serious cigar aficionado's collection.

The non-uniform effect in the center of the book can be attributed to the handcrafted nature of our Impossible Collection series.

Complimentary white gloves and a signature canvas bag are included with every purchase of Assouline's Ultimate Collection.

More information

The Impossible Collection of Cigars is a bid to take readers on a journey to Cuba’s legendary tobacco plantations, get up close and personal with the torcedores (master cigar rollers), and discover the world’s most commendable and coveted cigars. Taking into account the differences and attributes of cigars such as Nicaragua’s Padrón, the Dominican Republic’s Arturo Fuente and Geneva’s Davidoff, Honduras’ Rocky Patel, the Bahamas’ Graycliff, and of course Cuba’s arsenal of legendary cigars, Sigmond’s is a list any connoisseur could only dream of.

About the author

Aaron Sigmond

Aaron Sigmond is an award-winning editor, publisher, and author who has explored the world of cigars both personally and professionally for over thirty years. During that time he was the founding editor of Smoke magazine and The Cigar Report, as well as a contributing cigar editor for Playboy and the author of Playboy: The Book of Cigars. Sigmond also served as consulting creative director for General Cigar Co. Sigmond’s previous book for Assouline was Bulova: A History of Firsts (2018).

About the brand

Assouline, where culture meets luxury It all began in 1993, when Martine and Prosper Assouline found themselves at the La Colombe d'Or hotel in France, one of their most beloved places in the world. As they experienced its beauty together, their curiosity about life and love of books inspired them to make their own tome about the hotel. Prosper took the photos, Martine wrote the text, and La Colombe D'Or became their first book, published in 1994. Today, every Assouline book continues to be created with the same union of talent and passion: Martine's editorial direction and Prosper's creative vision.
