Bocca Unlimited Gufram Sofa

Bocca Unlimited designed by Studio 65 for Gufram is a sofa upholstered in polyurethane foam, covered in bouclé wool. Its shape is inspired by the “Portrait of Mae West” by surrealist artist Salvador Dalí, making it an iconic design object for the home. This version was created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first original Bocca model, expanding the colour palette to 25 colours.

For its 50th anniversary, Bocca® is revolutionising its image: 25 new colours have been added to Gufram's iconic lips, which are dressed in a new, more material and structured fabric for the occasion. It is a new look that changes the familiar perspective of the design object that, more than any other, represents the perfect abstraction of feminine beauty. It looks to new horizons and new possibilities for use: it has a strong personality and is at the same time versatile, ideal for both residential and contract use.

Since 1970, the original Bocca sofa designed by Studio65 has been exclusive to Gufram. Today, 25 colours blend with its sinuous lines to give life to a new season, in which the brightest colours coexist with neutral tones.

About the designer

Studio 65

Studio 65 was founded in 1965 in Turin as an experimental avant-garde collective made up of architects, designers, poets and artists. Its founders were Franco Audrito, Roberta Garosci, Enzo Bertone, Paolo Morello and Paolo Rondelli.

Studio 65 played an essential role in the radical Italian design movement of the 1960s and 1970s. Some of its most famous products are the Bocca sofa and the Capitello chair. Other notable projects include the Leonardo sofa, which became one of the icons of the Radical Design movement, the interior design of the Casa Canella apartment, the Villa Palladiana, as well as the Barbarella nightclub.
